Class:
Transparent Soap
June 13, 2010 - 3 hours
or October 23, 2010 - 3 Hours
In this class we'll discuss
the various formulae for making transparent soap, and make a
batch of transparent & re-meltable soap from which students take
home a chunk. Students leave this class with a fool-proof
formula for making their own melt-and-pour transparent soap
base. Note: transparent soap uses solvents not found in regular
cold process soap to achieve transparency. This class is not for
beginners. Not all ingredients are considered "natural."

Other soap classes taught by the owner of Mission Peak Soap
are scheduled periodically
at The Nova
Studio. Please check their website for details.
The famous "Big Batch" class (part
of the 2-day Soap Bootcamp) is a
fully-detailed demonstration of the way in which soap is made at
Mission Peak Soap, a method by which you can make and cut 200 -
500 bars of soap a day, all by yourself, without any (very) heavy
lifting or special equipment. If you're thinking of scaling up,
inexpensively, this class is for you. See
The Nova Studio website
to sign-up.
The Nova Studio also regularly
offers first-rate classes in beginning soap making as well as the
manufacture of other handcrafted personal care products.
Check-out their website for more detail.
